Hi John, My friend told me that Jesus is not God but the firstborn child of God and that he is like our older brother.
The experiment to create a harmonious secular society where God is not necessary and peace is dependent on human nature seems to be more of an ideal than a reality. If this experiment is to be tested it must prove that, where others have failed, current and future generations will succeed.
I take pride in researching all perspectives on an argument whether it is among skeptics or within Christian academics…While I admit my bias is toward Christianity this does not mean that I study with a closed mind and only consider the information which confirms my bias.

Once we understand our condition of depravity we can begin to understand that the only way for God to serve perfect justice and perfect mercy was to provide for us a perfect mediator.

There are many false teachers out there preying on the spiritually vulnerable and financially desperate. Ultimately as angry as I can get at these scripture twisting charlatans the real burden of defense lies squarely on our shoulders.
While the religious beliefs we subscribe to may be a product of our environment this does nothing to disprove those beliefs. And while science has led to a better understanding of the world around us it has done nothing to remove a deity but rather has arguably done more to prove intelligence beyond our understanding.
